Kick Back: High School Adventure Week & Gathering

Kick Back is a time to gather with other church groups for fun, fellowship and faith-building, all while visiting some of California’s best attractions.

We will take trips to Disneyland, the beach and into our local community for a service project.

On the other days we will have community building on-site and plenty of camp-style fun.

Each day will be capped by a gathering on our Plaza for worship, reflection, speakers, music & and many fun surprises.

Interested but coming from out of state? No problem our gathering and adventure week last year was attended by many out-of-state churches. Transportation is provided, including airport pick-ups.

Registration & Cost

Reserve your spot today!

Early Bird - before Feb 28th: $610

After Feb 28th: $635

Registration fee covers all program costs (Disneyland ticket, shirt, supplies, etc.) lodging and all but a few meals that will happen on the road.

Transportation Fee: $60

(This includes airport shuttle & all other event transportation)

Lodging options:

Cabins: sleep approximately 18 people and have bathrooms and showers. Guests bring there own bedding.

Retreat Center: rooms are hotel style & sleep 4-6. Bedding/Towels are provided. Extra fee of $30 dollars per person per night.

What is Kick Back?

Kick Back is a camp sized youth gathering and California immersion week hosted by Lutheran Retreats, Camps & Conferences. Each day is full of camp-fun, field trips to California attractions and service sites and nightly gatherings, which are full of campfire laughs, reflective activities, music and speakers. See the sample schedule from last year's Rebound to get a better sense of what to expect.

Who can come to Kick Back?

This event is for high school youth groups and their youth leaders/chaperones. We encourage churches from all over the country to attend and enjoy our camp and its proximity to many Southern California gems.

Will my youth group have fun?

YES! Kick Back is a camp-style youth gathering full of fun, workshops & community building. We provide ample times to you and your group to interact with other church groups throughout the week. You will leave with church friends from all over.
