We are deeply saddened to share that our dear friend Lynn Howard, died last night. Lynn served LRCC as our Food Service Manager for almost a decade. She made the El Camino Pines kitchen the heart and soul of camp. She even recruited our best and favorite volunteer, her husband Dave, to barbecue almost every Friday at the end of a week of camp.
When asked why her meals tasted SO good, Lynn reminded us that her 'secret ingredient was love.' Lynn had love to share. Most all counselors who returned to ECP for a visit made their way down to the kitchen for one of Lynn's hugs, and maybe even some warm chocolate chip cookies.
The summer and year round counselors loved Lynn. Her favorites affectionately called her Momma, as she served up loving portions of advice, laughs or a listening ear.
Please remember Dave and Kassydi and the entire Howard clan as they grieve this enormous loss.
